1. What is a catch-all account?
A catch-all account is an account on which incoming e-mails with misspelled or incorrect names will be delivered rather than being returned as undeliverable.
2. Do I really need a catch-all account?
Most people do not need a catch-all account as most email comes from people we know, however incase somebody types a wrong name the email will be returned to him and he will know that this is a wrong address and will resend by rectifying the mistake, Most medium and large companies do not use the catch-all facility.
3. What happens if the catch-all account is deleted?
If the catch-all account is deleted only emails with mis-spelt names will not come to your account, all other email accounts and aliases (if any) setup have will continue to functioning correctly. This change will only affect 1 account (Mostly info@yourdomain.com as this is the default catch-all account), Incase you are not using this acount then this change will not affect you.
4. What are the benifits of deleting the catch-all account?
The main benifit of deleting the catch-all account is there will be a significant reduction in the number of spam messages recieved on the server resulting in fewer spam in your inbox, also there will be an imporvement in the delivery time of the messages.
5. What are the dis-advantages of deleting the catch-all     account?
If the catch-all account is deleted only emails with mis-spelt names will not come to your account. However to overcome this you can create additional aliases of your commonly misspelt names for eg. if a person name "aryasree" is recieving sometimes mails in the name of "aryashree", she can go to the user control panel and create an alias named "aryashree" and forward the emails to "aryasree" . Once the alias is created she will be able to get all the email named "aryashree" in the "aryasree" account.
6. Why deleting the catch-all account is necessary?
Spammers exploit the catch-all account facility on the server and deliver huge quantities of SPAM to the server resulting in more SPAM being delivered into your inbox, to prevent your mailboxes from flooding with SPAM it has now become necessary to delete the catch-all account.
7. What do I need to do Incase I still require the account?
